Michelle McConnico (TaQuoya) is an award-winning communications and marketing professional and proud United States Air Force Veteran. She has spent the last 15 years connecting brands to consumers and helping organizations achieve their goals through communications and digital marketing. Former VP of Digital for Teneo Strategy, Michelle has received numerous awards for her work in comms and marketing including Verizon Wireless HQ Communications Improvement Recognition, President Obama’s Call to Service Award, and The Village of Maywood Helping Hand Award. She was also named one of Chicago’s Top Professionals Under the age of 40. In addition to representing school districts, nonprofits and cities, Michelle has counseled and represented companies and CEOs of some of the world’s most successful organizations including The Coca-Cola Company, The Department of Veterans Affairs, Verizon Wireless and PetSmart.

Out with the old ways of calling and pitching reporters to make your non-profit seen and heard. In with the new way of building your own story and creating and online community. This is the root of digital marketing that has helped many companies become more fruitful. There is only one separation between for-profit and nonprofit and that is that nonprofit operates with a stronger purpose and a stronger desire for change. This must be elevated in the digital space for best growth.
