Mission + Strategy Consulting was founded in 2006 by Jean Butzen to help nonprofit organizations become stronger through strategic collaboration. Since then, M+S has completed more than 70 mergers and partnership transactions throughout the country using their signature process of “me, You+Me, to We.” Leading by example, Mission + Strategy joined forces with Keystone Alliance to offer a continuum of consultative services:

• Strategic restructuring including nonprofit mergers, asset acquisitions, parent-subsidiary structures, joint ventures, and other partnerships.
• Strategic partner search
• Partnership feasibility analysis
• Merger/Partnership facilitation
• Business case for strategic partnership preparation
• Partner agreements planning
• Coordination of steps leading to closing and launch
• New operating agreement implementation

Mergers and other partnerships are one way of achieving an organization’s strategic goals and building capacity in service to our communities. Enhancing strategic thinking and decision-making capacity within a nonprofit organization is critical to mission sustainability. To that end additional key services include:
