Company Profile

Company Overview
With more than 25 years experience in the field, I have built a practice focused on helping non-profit agencies discover what makes them unique to targeted funders in the public and private sectors, and how to most effectively shape their case for support. I have worked with organizations of all sizes and have particular expertise with those in the areas of public policy, housing, social service and education. Having also worked in philanthropy, I bring a unique funder's perspective to clients as they seek resources from the private sector.
Program development: how can agencies shape programs to make them most appealing to public and private funders? Each source of support, whether a federal agency or small family foundation, is unique and needs a distinctive case shaped just for them.

Grant research: Often, organizations compartmentalize their programs in order to broaden the base of potential funders. This can be successfully done without constructing new programming in order to chase specific dollars. And many non-profits are unaware of grants and other support potentially available through local, federal and yes, even state funding. This is a particular area of expertise.

Grantwriting and proposal review/editing: Shaping and making the case to funders is done through quality programs and effective research and writing. My grantwriting experience ranges from $10 million federal applications to individual giving solicitations. What they have in common: presenting solid research to support the need and persuasive and comprehensive program narratives and supplemental materials. The more complex the grant, the more important it is to have an experienced grantwriter assist staff through the process.

Grant administration and management: I have developed grant management and fundraising infrastructure for organizations of varying sizes, allowing staff to successfully streamline the process, from research through reporting.
