Company Overview
Ensemble Consulting recognizes that arts and other creative organizations are at their healthiest, most effective and “greater than the sum of their parts” when powerfully connected to and intentionally organized around their unique core purpose and principles. Ensemble Consulting helps leaders and their organizations increase their capacity, build out their planning horizons and more fully realize their potential through aligning action with intent. Much of our work is at the intersection of art making, community building, and supportive policies and practices.

Testimonial 1
"Our company's transformation is due in no small part to the process Kristin initiated. At a very crucial time of transition, when the company's future was in the balance, she led the stakeholders quietly through an extremely valuable, "elegant" process, based in the planning work of ARTS Action Research, which puts the Art front and center and expands out from there. With great care and understanding for the personalities and schedules involved, Kristin facilitated retreats, advised on the construction of crucial foundational documents that had never existed, shaped the strategic planning framework, and continually nudged us forwards to understanding our shared identity, values and vision for the future, bringing all parties along for the ride."
-Nick Sandys, Ensemble Member, Producing Artistic Director Emeritus, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company
Testimonial 2
"Silk Road Rising hired Kristin Patton to help our board. Kristin did a marvelous job of helping all members, including those initially resistant, come to a new, evolved understanding of what it means to be a board member of an entrepreneurial artist led organization. The time we spent with Kristin laid the foundation for our next steps at Silk Road. It was critical that we get everyone on the same page and with a shared understanding regarding artistic leadership and board roles. Kristin more than fulfilled the goals of the consulting engagement. I greatly admire her ability to listen and actually hear each party. She created an environment in which we could be open and honest and come together as a team. We are now well prepared for the next phase."
-Malik Gillani, Executive Director at Silk Road Rising
Testimonial 3
"Making sense of all of the passionate viewpoints was led by masters. Kristin Patton and Logan Jones of Ensemble Consulting designed and executed an exhaustive and holistic process to illuminate the essence and needs of About Face Theatre at this crucial moment of leadership change. Through their work, we found consensus and clarity about the skills and attributes we needed in the next leader, and this built hope, energy and interest in company. It has been such a joy and labor of love, and a tremendous learning experience to work with them, and to have their positive spirit and passion at the center of this process. They’ve been a conduit to channel our needs and to enable us to take the appropriate steps forward."
-Becky Huinker, Board Member and President Emeritus of About Face Theatre
