Speaker's Bureau Information

Speaker Bio
Martha Collins has dedicated her career to working with social justice organizations that focus on building power within marginalized communities. As a former project manager with a leading Wisconsin-based anti-hunger organization, she addressed food insecurity and increasing access to healthy, nutritious food by managing a modern, community-based, outreach program for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program better known as SNAP.

For the past decade, she has had the opportunity to collaborate and strategically develop several coalitions to help create public policy groundwork for advancing social and economic agendas. Martha also has extensive nonprofit advocacy experience in the areas of protecting work-family friendly policies, promoting an electoral process that is free, fair and accessible for all, and fighting for race and gender-based equity that benefits everyone in the community.

Martha is a Licensed Consultant with the Standards for Excellence Institute ®, a national initiative established to promote the highest standards of ethics, effectiveness, and accountability in the nonprofit sector. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She has also received a graduate studies certificate in Training, Facilitation and Consulting from the Center for New Leadership at Marlboro College in Vermont.
