Testimonial 1
"The video really was a great call to action. And encouraged donors, and put a little pressure off our emcee to share the story. It was an unprecedented amount that we raised, we’ve never gotten to six figures in our fund-a-need program before.” Kelsey Gibbs, Former Development Director, Wolf River Conservancy
Testimonial 2
“We are seeing a 25% increase in the number of organ donors...we’re constantly getting feedback from the community saying ‘I’ve seen the video. I was very touched by the video. And, you know, it sparked me to have a conversation with my family and friends about it.” Kim Van Frank, Executive Director, Midsouth Transplant
Testimonial 3
“What I like about Forever Ready Productions is first of all you’re good. You’re a great storyteller, you know what we say and somehow you translate that into what we want...But as an Executive Director what I like is you’re quick, you turn things around in a remarkably fast way, and I think you guys deliver a really good product, really quickly at a very reasonable cost.” Mike Allen, Executive Director, Memphis Botanic Garden

Speaker's Bureau Information

Speaker Bio
Lauren Ready is a keynote speaker and the Principal Storyteller of Forever
Ready Productions, a video production company with offices in Memphis and Chicago. The Forever Ready team works to tell stories for nonprofits and businesses so they can realize and harness their collective purpose and impact. Their mission-drive videos have helped nonprofits raise more than $10 million.

Lauren Ready started her TV news career as a production assistant at 17. She then spent the next ten years as a video journalist as she moved across Iowa, Nebraska, and Memphis to cover national breaking news.
Since leaving her TV news career and starting Forever Ready Productions in 2016, her company has received the Small Business of the Year Award from the Memphis Business Journal. Lauren has also won 5 regional Emmys and in 2019, was named Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.

In 2022, she took home both the Indie Memphis Hometowner Documentary Shorts Jury and Audience Choice awards for her film “What We Will Never Know” about a teen who falsely confessed to murder. This was her fifth Indie Memphis trophy for documentaries, making her one of the most decorated filmmakers in the festival’s 25-year history. The film was also awarded ‘Best Social Justice Short Doc” by the Lane Doc Film Festival in 2022.

Today, Lauren is based in Memphis with her husband, Scott, and their son Max. She’s a certified drone pilot (by the way, only <7% of U.S. certified drone pilots are women — she loves being in this stat!), enjoys rock climbing, and without a doubt packs her camera for every family trip.

In this talk, you’ll learn 5 ways to guarantee impactful moments, down to interview styles and who should (and shouldn't) be in the room. Get ready for moment-by-moment breakdowns from video stories told through my past work in TV news and my present work at my video production company, Forever Ready. In this talk, you’ll learn 5 ways to take a stat and turn it into a compelling story, why less is more in video storytelling and how it can help you get media coverage. You’ll be challenged to look beyond the headline and ditch your marketing agenda.
