Cori Streetman co-founded Barefoot PR in 2010 with the hopes of changing the face of public relations to include a more holistic approach. Her passion for integrating community investment into brand building and culture development is a primary focus for Barefoot PR’s work, and she works closely alongside a talented team to bring this passion to the clients she works with and the broader community. Cori has dedicated her time and talent to the nonprofit sector for many years, serving in volunteer leadership roles with a variety of organizations and presenting on various topics related to communications and strategic partnership building to build the skillsets of nonprofit professionals and strengthen the sector.

Communicating the Unknown
Topic 1 Description
What do you communicate when the situation is unexpected, and the outcome and future is unknown? Even veteran communicators have been challenged to appropriately share information with stakeholders and audiences as our entire world continues to navigate the COVID-19 crisis. During this session, we discuss best practices for making big announcements and strategies for evaluating when and what to actively communicate when the outcome and future is unknown. Attendees will also learn the importance of storytelling to maintain connectedness during this unprecedented time of disconnectedness in our society.

Storytelling can be one of the most powerful tools in brand and reputation building. As the storyteller, you have the power to choose the frame you place around the data, impact and testimonials. Join Barefoot PR to learn the art of telling stories that will engage donors, volunteers, media and other key audiences. We will walk through the hall of frames and pair them with key messages and communications platforms to tell a powerful story that drives action, emotion and value.
